Recioto della Valpolicella Mezzonella is a historic wine that interprets the Veronese tradition of grape drying with great finesse. Sourced from the Mezzonella vineyard, one of the historic crus of Valpolicella Classica, this Recioto is a rare vintage that is now particularly sought after by enthusiasts of mature wines.

As it has aged, the wine has developed a dark garnet color with subtle amber hues and a rich, layered aromatic profile. On the nose, aromas of black cherry jam, dates, raisins, dark honey, cocoa, and oriental spices emerge, accompanied by delicate, ethereal notes and hints of toasted almond. On the palate, it is intense and velvety, with an elegant sweetness that is never excessive, supported by a pleasant freshness that carries through to the long, persistent finish.

Produced using the traditional methods of Valpolicella from the 1970s—when the grapes were still naturally dried in historic fruit cellars—the Mezzonella 1973 retains the authentic charm of the great Venetian meditation wines. A bottle that combines historical significance, aromatic complexity, and a tribute to Italian winemaking tradition.
