William Grant's - William Grant and Sons
William Grant & Sons Ltd. is an independent, family-owned Scottish company that has been distilling and bottling whisky since 1887. Founded by William Grant and now run by his descendants, it is the world's third largest bottler of Scotch whisky, after Diageo and Pernod Ricard. The Master Distiller is Brian Kinsman, who succeeded David Stewart, who had been in the role for 47 years (the longest serving Master for a single distillery). In 1974, William Grant & Sons won the Queen's Award for Industry Outstanding Achievement, the first Scottish company to receive this award. In 1999, it received the drinks industry's most prestigious award, Distiller of the Year, from the International Wine & Spirit Competition, and again the following year (the first time the same distiller has won two years in a row).
