Barbera d'Alba "Scarrone Vigna Vecchia" is a wine obtained from 100% Barbera grapes, coming from the oldest part of the Castiglione Falletto vineyard, in the Scarrone area, with south-east exposure and a density of about 4,300 plants per hectare. The vinification involves cold maceration, alcoholic fermentation for two weeks in steel vats, followed by a post-fermentation maceration. The wine is then transferred to barriques for malolactic fermentation and aged for about 18 months in steel, barriques and barrels. It has a ruby red color, intense aromas of ripe cherries, vanilla and spices, with a balanced freshness and an intense finish.
