The Barolo DOCG "Cerretta" comes from the historic cru of the same name in the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba, recognized since 2015 as one of the most prestigious MGAs in the area. The marly-sandy soil, rich in limestone and iron, combined with the southern and south-eastern exposure, gives the wine great power and unique complexity. The winemaking process includes scrupulous care of the vineyard and 30 months of refinement in French oak tonneaux, followed by 6 months in the bottle. The result is a Barolo with a very fine aromatic profile, ranging from red fruits to floral notes and nuances of aromatic herbs such as mint and rhubarb. On the palate, it is austere, persistent and well-balanced, with a tannicity that guarantees a long aging potential, up to 20 years.
