Dogliani docg Il Briccolero is an excellent organic wine, produced with pure Dolcetto, coming from a selection of suitable plots within the San Luigi properties. With a limited production of around 20,000 bottles, it is characterised by an artisanal winemaking process: harvest and fermentation in September, followed by a year's refinement in cement tanks and a small part in large French oak barrels, without filtration. With an intense purple colour, it offers hints of black berry fruit, balsamic and spicy notes on the nose. On the palate, a lively acidity and solid tannins stand out. The Briccolero terroir, located in the eastern part of the San Luigi hill with a south-east exposure, is characterised by steep slopes and light-coloured soils, rich in calcium carbonate and sand, which give the wine freshness, complexity and a harmonious balance.
