Der Barolo DOCG „Cerretta“ stammt aus der historischen Lage Cerretta in der Gemeinde Serralunga d'Alba, die seit 2015 als eine der prestigeträchtigsten MGA der Region anerkannt ist. Der mergelig-sandige Boden, reich an Kalk und Eisen, verbunden mit der Süd- und Südostausrichtung, verleiht dem Wein eine große Kraft und eine einzigartige Komplexität. Der Weinherstellungsprozess umfasst eine sorgfältige Pflege des Weinbergs und eine 30-monatige Reifung in Tonneaux aus französischer Eiche, gefolgt von 6 Monaten in der Flasche. Das Ergebnis ist ein Barolo mit einem sehr feinen aromatischen Profil, das von roten Früchten über florale Noten bis hin zu Nuancen von aromatischen Kräutern wie Minze und Rhabarber reicht. Am Gaumen präsentiert er sich streng, anhaltend und gut ausbalanciert, mit einer Tanninstruktur, die ein langes Reifepotenzial von bis zu 20 Jahren garantiert.
