Der Sor Ugo 2008 ist eine Bordeaux-Toskana-Cuvée, die sich in einem tiefen Granatrot präsentiert. In der Nase finden sich reife Kirschen, schwarze Johannisbeeren, frisches Menthol und eine krautige Note, die an den für das Küstenterroir typischen Rosmarin erinnert. Am Gaumen ist er voll und reichhaltig, ohne zu überfordern: konzentrierte schwarze Früchte, Lakritz, gerösteter Kaffee und eine leicht „minzige“ Frische im Abgang, die Lebendigkeit verleiht. Die Tannine sind noch präsent und entschieden, unterstützt von einer guten Struktur: ein Wein, der zu kräftigem rotem Fleisch, Wild oder gereiftem Käse einlädt und vor dem Servieren Zeit oder die richtige Belüftung verdient.
