Mastrojanni, ein renommiertes toskanisches Weingut in Castelnuovo dell'Abate, Montalcino, zelebriert Sangiovese mit unverwechselbaren Weinen. Die 1975 von Gabriele Mastrojanni gegründeten Weingüter San Pio und Loreto umfassen heute 96 Hektar, davon 33 Hektar Weinberge. Mit einer Höhenlage von 150 bis 420 Metern über dem Meeresspiegel verfügen die Weinberge über eine optimale Ausrichtung in alle Himmelsrichtungen. Neben dem renommierten Brunello umfasst das Sortiment Einzellagen-Cuvées und Rosso di Montalcino. Der Weinkeller, ein integraler Bestandteil des Anwesens, nutzt Betontanks und Holzbottiche für die Gärung und Verfeinerung. Sommer 2012: langer und großzügiger Sommer, ohne aufdringliche Temperaturspitzen, widergespiegelt in den Aromen von Pflaumen und kleinen Waldbeeren. Dazu gesellen sich Noten von Gewürzen und getrockneten Heilkräutern mit Anklängen von Kaffee. Ein umhüllender Mund von großer Eleganz, das Ergebnis klarer und reifer Tannine, die zu einem herzhaften und umhüllenden Abgang führen.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
