Dieser Chianti Classico ist ein 100%iger Sangiovese-Wein aus der Region Chianti Classico in der Toskana. Die im Jahr 2000 gepflanzten Rebstöcke wachsen auf Lehm- und Tonböden mit Skelett und erbringen 60 Doppelzentner pro Hektar. Die Trauben werden manuell ausgewählt und etwa 20 Tage lang in Stahl- und Holzbehältern vergoren, gefolgt von einer malolaktischen Gärung in Holz. Nach 10 Monaten im Fass und 4 Monaten in der Flasche offenbart der Wein Noten von roten Kirschen, Sauerkirschen, Tabak, Gewürzen und Lakritz. Mit eleganten Tanninen und einem langen, frischen Abgang drückt er die authentische Struktur des Sangiovese von Castelnuovo Berardenga aus.
