Château Larrivet-Haut-Brion is a renowned red wine from the Pessac-Léognan appellation, produced at the estate of the same name in the southern part of the Bordeaux region. The vineyard is situated on soils typical of the region, consisting of deep gravel over a clayey and sandy subsoil—ideal conditions for growing Bordeaux grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc. In the glass, the wine displays an intense, deep ruby-red color. The bouquet is refined and complex, with aromas of ripe black fruits such as blackberry and currant, accompanied by notes of cherry, sweet spices, tobacco, and subtle smoky and cocoa-like nuances derived from aging in barriques. On the palate, it displays an elegant and well-balanced structure, with soft yet distinct tannins that support a rich and harmonious flavor profile. The finish is long and lingering, with a return of dark fruits, spices, and subtle toasted notes that affirm the classic and refined character of Pessac-Léognan red wines.
