Bersano is a wine producer located in the Piedmont wine region of northwestern Italy. The estate has its origins in Asti and was formed in the early part of the 20th century. Today it produces a range of regional wines, including Barbera d'Asti , Barolo , Barbaresco , Monferrato and Moscato d'Asti. Barolo is a traditional village in Piedmont, in northwest Italy. The surrounding hills have long been famous for producing fragrant, tannic red wines that take their name. These are produced entirely from the Nebbiolo grape. The wine's distinctive features are a "tar and roses" aroma, bright ruby ​​color (fading to garnet over time), firm tannins, high acidity and relatively high alcohol. As the tannins soften over time, complexity manifests with hints of earth, truffle and dark chocolate.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
