Ein eleganter und strukturierter Barolo, hergestellt aus Nebbiolo-Trauben von verschiedenen Cru-Lagen in den Langhe, darunter Serralunga d'Alba, La Morra, Grinzane Cavour, Monforte d'Alba und Mosconi. Drei Jahre lang in großen französischen Eichenfässern gereift, entfaltet dieser Wein Aromen von reifer Kirsche, Rose, süßen Gewürzen und leichten mineralischen Noten. Am Gaumen ist er voll und harmonisch, mit seidigen Tanninen, guter Säure und einem langen, anhaltenden Abgang. Der Jahrgang 2021 zeichnet sich durch einen regelmäßigen Witterungsverlauf aus, mit einem warmen, aber ausgeglichenen Sommer und kühlen Nächten, die eine optimale Reifung der Trauben ermöglichten. I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
