In quel meraviglioso angolo di Toscana che è il Chianti, si trova la Tenuta dei Sette Ponti. La cantina copre un’area di circa 330 ettari, dei quali una cinquantina sono vitati. Nelle vigne, poste sui dolci declivi delle colline del Chianti, si coltivano i tipici vitigni della regione: il Sangiovese, prima di tutto, che qui trova la sua massima espressione, il Merlot, Il Cabernet Sauvignon ed il Petit Verdot. La cantina è quanto di più tecnologicamente avanzato si possa trovare sul mercato, il personale di cantina è altamente specializzato e si avvale anche del supporto di esperti esterni. Sui grappoli appena giunti in cantina si opera una selezione manuale, acino per acino, per vinificare solo il meglio dell’uva prodotta; si preferisce la fermentazione a tini scoperti e l’affinamento finale avviene in botti di pregiato rovere francese. Il vino “principe” di questa Azienda è l’Oreno, un vino forte e ricco di struttura, affinato prevalentemente in barriques, che in pochi anni ha saputo inserirsi nel Gotha dei grandi vini della Toscana e dell’Italia.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
