The municipality of Barolo, which gave its name to the "King of Wines," is located in Piedmont, in the heart of the Langhe hills. The quality of the wines produced in this area is characterized by numerous highly prized native grape varieties and a unique soil composition, alternating blends of clay, calcareous marl, bluish marl, tuff, sandstone, and sand. Thanks to this extraordinary terroir, Nebbiolo, the native grape variety of Barolo, reveals all its typical qualities: powerful and austere, capable of lasting over time and reproducing all the aromas and characteristics of the soil in the winemaking process. Thanks to its extensive and storied experience, Marchesi di Barolo faithfully interprets the diversity of the land and the native grape varieties, rigorously respecting and preserving their unique character by vinifying grapes from diverse vineyards. The company extends over approximately 120 hectares of vineyards, producing wine from the main native grape varieties of the Langhe, Roero, and Monferrato areas.
To better specify and enhance the characteristics of the different vineyards, the most prestigious historic Crus are vinified in purity, aged and bottled individually.
