Il Barolo 2016 di Brovia è un vino pregiato Piemontese, una delle più interessanti versioni tradizionali dei vini delle Langhe. È il risultato di un minuzioso lavoro in vigna ed in cantina dove vengono utilizzate tecniche moderne seppur facendo riferimento ai metodi produttivi tradizionali. Il Barolo di Brovia è ottenuto da uve Nebbiolo 100% provenienti da vigneti dislocati in diverse zone di proprietà della tenuta. Le uve vengono selezionate accuratamente, per poi subire una lunga macerazione sulle bucce e fermentazione spontanea seguita dalla malolattica ed il successivo affinamento di 24 mesi in botti grandi di rovere di Slavonia. Presenta un colore rosso rubino non troppo pieno, caratteristica del Nebbiolo; al naso regala un bouquet complesso di ciliegia, fiori rossi secchi e spezie, su uno sfondo di terra e tostato di caffè e tabacco. In bocca è equilibrato tra struttura, freschezza e tannino, dove si evince una grande eleganza che si esprimerà al meglio della sua armonia dopo un po' di anni di invecchiamento.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
