Il Barolo 2018 di Tomaso Gianolio è un vino rosso da uve Nebbiolo in purezza che esprime uno stile classico delle Langhe con una buona combinazione tra struttura e bevibilità, si presenta nel calice con un colore rosso granato tendente all’aranciato con l’evoluzione, al naso offre un profilo intenso e abbastanza complesso con note di piccoli frutti rossi spezie tabacco e leggere sfumature vanigliate e affumicate dovute al passaggio in legno, al palato è strutturato ma equilibrato con una trama tannica evidente ma non aggressiva sostenuta da una buona acidità che mantiene il sorso vivo e armonico, il finale è persistente con ritorni speziati ed eleganti, l’annata 2018 è considerata più fresca e meno potente rispetto ad altre e ha dato vini generalmente più accessibili e pronti in tempi relativamente brevi, si consiglia di servirlo intorno ai 16-18 gradi con una breve ossigenazione e si abbina molto bene a carni rosse arrosti brasati selvaggina primi piatti ricchi e formaggi stagionati risultando nel complesso un Barolo corretto tipico ed equilibrato più orientato alla finezza e alla bevibilità che alla massima concentrazione e longevità
