Un Barolo autentico e territoriale, espressione pura delle colline di Serralunga d’Alba, dove la famiglia Germano da generazioni unisce tradizione e precisione artigianale. Ottenuto da Nebbiolo in purezza proveniente da diverse parcelle aziendali, affina per circa 24 mesi in botti grandi di rovere, prima di un ulteriore riposo in bottiglia. Il profumo è fine e complesso, con note di ciliegia matura, petali di rosa, liquirizia e leggere sfumature balsamiche. Al palato si presenta elegante ma strutturato, con tannini setosi, ottima freschezza e una chiusura lunga, armoniosa e sapida. L’annata del 2020 è considerata una delle migliori del decennio per equilibrio e armonia. L’andamento climatico regolare, con un’estate calda ma mai eccessiva e un settembre asciutto e ventilato, ha permesso una maturazione completa e graduale del Nebbiolo. I Barolo 2020 si distinguono per purezza aromatica, finezza dei tannini e grande equilibrio: vini eleganti, già piacevoli ma destinati a un lungo futuro in bottiglia.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
