Un Barolo classico e armonioso, simbolo della tradizione piemontese. Prodotto da Nebbiolo in purezza proveniente da diverse parcelle storiche nei comuni di Barolo e La Morra, affina in grandi botti di rovere di Slavonia per circa 30 mesi, raggiungendo equilibrio e complessità. Al naso esprime note di ciliegia matura, rosa, tabacco dolce e spezie fini, con leggere sfumature di liquirizia e sottobosco. In bocca è elegante e strutturato, con tannini morbidi, acidità vibrante e un finale lungo e armonico. L’annata del eccezionale nelle Langhe, con un clima regolare e maturazioni perfette. L’inverno freddo e le buone riserve idriche hanno favorito un equilibrio naturale, mentre l’estate calda ma ventilata ha permesso una maturazione completa del Nebbiolo. I Barolo 2021 sono eleganti, ricchi e precisi, con tannini raffinati e grande potenziale di invecchiamento.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
