Un Barolo di grande intensità ed eleganza, proveniente dal prestigioso cru Cerretta di Serralunga d’Alba, zona storicamente vocata alla produzione di vini potenti e longevi. Ottenuto da Nebbiolo in purezza e affinato per oltre 30 mesi in botti grandi di rovere, questo vino rappresenta una delle massime espressioni del terroir di Serralunga. Al naso si distingue per complessità e profondità, con profumi di ciliegia matura, violetta, liquirizia, tabacco e spezie dolci, accompagnati da delicate sfumature minerali e ferrose. In bocca è ampio, strutturato e armonioso, con tannini fitti ma vellutati, freschezza vibrante e un finale lungo e persistente.

L’annata del 2020 è stata caratterizzata da un andamento climatico regolare e da maturazioni lente e complete. L’estate calda ma ventilata e le ottime escursioni termiche di settembre hanno favorito vini di grande equilibrio, con tannini maturi, aromi nitidi e una struttura perfettamente bilanciata. I Barolo 2020 si distinguono per eleganza e capacità di evoluzione.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
