Nasce nel cuore del cru Castelletto, a Monforte d’Alba, su suoli argillosi con componenti tuffacee e un’esposizione sud-est che dona eleganza e finezza ai tannini. Dopo un affinamento di 12 mesi in barrique francesi e ulteriori 12-18 mesi in grandi botti di rovere, esprime un perfetto equilibrio tra struttura, complessità e freschezza. Nel calice si presenta rosso rubino brillante con riflessi granati. Al naso emergono profumi intensi di ribes, ciliegia e melograno, seguiti da note di liquirizia, tè nero, spezie secche ed erbe balsamiche. Al palato è succoso e teso, con tannini solidi ma ben integrati e una freschezza vibrante che allunga il finale elegante e persistente. L’annata 2020 nelle Langhe è stata equilibrata e armoniosa: estati calde ma non eccessive, buone escursioni termiche e piogge ben distribuite. Ne sono nati Barolo dal profilo aromatico nitido, tannini eleganti e acidità vivace, capaci di evolvere per oltre 15 anni. Il “La Villa” riflette pienamente questo carattere, combinando profondità e immediatezza.
