Barolo DOCG from the Municipality of Serralunga d'Alba "Nirvasco" is a wine produced with Nebbiolo grapes in the Serralunga d'Alba area. The soil is calcareous clay with silty-sandy components. Harvest is done by hand in October. Vinification involves maceration in stainless steel with pumping over and oxygenation to complete alcoholic fermentation, followed by malolactic fermentation on the fine lees. Aged for at least 36 months in oak barrels and in bottle. With an average alcohol content of 14%, the wine is garnet red in color with orange hues, intense aromas of spice and ripe fruit, and a rich, persistent flavor with soft tannins and hints of leather, licorice, pepper, dried violets, and ripe plums.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
