Poderi Aldo Conterno's Barolo Riserva Speciale 1967 is one of those wines that, rather than simply "drinking," you'd rather listen and understand a piece of true Barolo history, born in an era when certain vintages were crafted to last and to showcase the terroir rather than for immediate enjoyment. This bottle embodies nearly sixty years of evolution, from the late 1960s to the present. It's a Riserva Speciale, a selection made only in truly exceptional vintages, and is made from Nebbiolo grown in the Bussia crus of Monforte d'Alba, one of the most prestigious areas in the entire Barolo region. In the glass, the color now tends toward deep garnet, with orange highlights and nuances patiently crafted by time. It's no longer a youthful ruby red, but a wine that has lived and still has much to say.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
