A Barolo of great finesse that beautifully expresses the character of the Villero cru, located in Castiglione Falletto, with its sandy, calcareous marl soil. The nose reveals ripe red fruits such as Morellina cherries, accompanied by floral notes (rose, violet), orange peel, black tea, aromatic herbs, and a subtle hint of spice. The palate is well-structured: fine yet present tannins, balanced acidity that sustains the drink, full body with remarkable persistence; and a long finish with mineral notes. The 2020 vintage was characterized by balanced temperatures: a warm but not extreme summer, cool nights that aided the slow and harmonious ripening of the grapes. This combination favored the preservation of acidity, essential for freshness, and allowed the Nebbiolo to develop refined aromas without losing elegance. The 2020 wines are generally more accessible to drink young, despite having great aging potential.
