Questo Chassagne‑Montrachet 1er Cru “La Grande Montagne” 2013 di Domaine Paul Pillot è un grande bianco di Borgogna che fonde eleganza, profondità e purezza del terroir in modo molto espressivo. Prodotto da 100% Chardonnay in un vigneto di altitudine relativamente alta con suoli ricchi di calcare e poco argilla, offre un profilo aromatico raffinato e articolato, dove emergono note di frutta bianca maturata (pera, mela), agrumi delicati e fiori bianchi, accompagnati da una sensazione minerale sottile e fresca.

E’ un esempio di Chardonnay di Borgogna di grande sostanza e carattere, capace di bilanciare intensità aromatica, mineralità e struttura, e mostrare sia immediate soddisfazioni in degustazione sia ottime prospettive di evoluzione in bottiglia.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
