Il Château du Costis Bordeaux 2003 è un vino rosso della regione di Bordeaux nato in un’annata molto calda, segnata da una forte maturazione delle uve che ha dato vini ricchi, morbidi e generosi. Generalmente basato su Merlot con una presenza di Cabernet Sauvignon e Cabernet Franc, si presenta con un profilo aromatico intenso in cui dominano note di frutta nera molto matura come prugna e mora, spesso accompagnate da sfumature di confettura, spezie dolci, cacao e leggere sensazioni tostate. Con oltre vent’anni di evoluzione, il vino entra in una fase avanzata in cui emergono anche sentori terziari di cuoio, tabacco e sottobosco, mentre la componente fruttata tende a diventare più morbida e meno vivace. Al palato risulta rotondo e abbastanza pieno, con tannini ormai levigati e una struttura che privilegia la morbidezza rispetto alla freschezza, talvolta con una leggera sensazione calda tipica dell’annata 2003. Il finale è di media persistenza, giocato su note evolute e speziate, e l’equilibrio complessivo dipende molto dalle condizioni di conservazione della bottiglia, rendendolo un vino da bere ora più per il piacere dell’evoluzione che per energia e freschezza.
