Il Château Les Grands Sillons Pomerol 2003 è un vino rosso della denominazione Pomerol, nella regione di Bordeaux, caratterizzato da uno stile ricco e avvolgente tipico dei vini a prevalenza Merlot; l’annata 2003, segnata da un’estate eccezionalmente calda in tutta la Francia, ha prodotto vini molto maturi, concentrati e generosi, e questo si riflette in un colore rosso granato intenso con sfumature evolute, mentre al naso emergono profumi di frutta nera molto matura come prugna e mora, spesso quasi in confettura, accompagnati da note di cioccolato, liquirizia, spezie dolci, cuoio e leggere sfumature tostate; al palato il vino è pieno, morbido e rotondo, con tannini vellutati e una struttura importante, meno sostenuta dalla freschezza rispetto ad annate più equilibrate ma compensata da una grande ricchezza e persistenza, con un finale lungo e caldo che richiama note mature e speziate, e grazie a questo profilo si abbina particolarmente bene a piatti intensi come carni rosse alla griglia o brasate, selvaggina, arrosti importanti, piatti con salse ricche e formaggi stagionati, creando un insieme opulento e armonioso.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
