Lo château Château Branas Grand Poujeaux produce questo vino attraverso un assemblaggio tipico dominato da Cabernet Sauvignon e Merlot, spesso completato da piccole percentuali di Cabernet Franc e Petit Verdot, combinazione che conferisce equilibrio tra struttura tannica profondità aromatica e morbidezza. L’annata 1995, considerata una buona annata per il Médoc, dopo molti anni di evoluzione in bottiglia si presenta con un colore rosso granato intenso con riflessi aranciati ai bordi e sviluppa un bouquet complesso nel quale emergono aromi di ribes nero mora e prugna evoluta accompagnati da note di tabacco cuoio sottobosco spezie dolci liquirizia e leggere sfumature tostate derivanti dall’affinamento in barrique e dal naturale processo di maturazione. Al palato il vino si mostra equilibrato e armonico con tannini ormai morbidi e ben integrati una struttura elegante sostenuta da una discreta freschezza e una trama gustativa nella quale ritornano frutti di bosco maturi note speziate e terrose con un finale persistente e raffinato che esprime il carattere classico dei vini del Médoc. Adatto ad accompagnare piatti come arrosti di carne rossa agnello brasato selvaggina o formaggi stagionati servito a circa 16-18 °C per valorizzare al meglio le sue caratteristiche sviluppate con l’invecchiamento.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
