Il Chianti Classico Riserva Ducale Oro 2008 di Ruffino è un vino rosso di alta selezione ottenuto principalmente da uve Sangiovese con piccole percentuali di vitigni complementari, rappresenta una delle versioni più prestigiose e longeve della storica etichetta Riserva Ducale, si presenta nel calice con un colore rosso granato intenso con evidenti riflessi aranciati segno di una lunga evoluzione, al naso è ampio e complesso con profumi di ciliegia matura amarena prugna secca spezie dolci tabacco cuoio e note terziarie di sottobosco terra bagnata e balsamico, al palato è strutturato e armonico con tannini ormai setosi e ben integrati una buona freschezza ancora presente che sostiene il sorso e una trama elegante che unisce finezza e profondità, il finale è lungo persistente e sfaccettato con ritorni speziati fruttati e leggermente tostati, l’annata 2008 in Chianti Classico è considerata molto buona equilibrata e favorevole alla produzione di vini longevi e ben strutturati capaci di evolvere con eleganza nel tempo, si consiglia di servirlo a circa 18 gradi con una leggera ossigenazione e si abbina perfettamente a piatti della tradizione toscana come bistecca alla fiorentina arrosti brasati selvaggina e formaggi stagionati risultando nel complesso un Chianti Classico Riserva complesso maturo ed elegante di grande equilibrio tra struttura e bevibilità.
