Il Domaine de Gallat Graves 1975 è un vino rosso di Bordeaux proveniente dall’area delle Graves, caratterizzata da suoli ghiaiosi che favoriscono vini eleganti e ben strutturati a base di Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot e Cabernet Franc. Un’annata così datata si presenta oggi completamente evoluta, con un profilo aromatico dominato da note terziarie di cuoio, tabacco, sottobosco e legno antico, accompagnate da sfumature di frutta molto matura o sotto spirito e leggere sensazioni speziate. Al palato il vino è generalmente delicato, con tannini ormai risolti e una struttura più sottile rispetto alla giovinezza, dove l’equilibrio dipende fortemente dalle condizioni di conservazione della bottiglia, e il finale può risultare corto ma ancora interessante per complessità aromatica. Si tratta quindi di un vino da degustazione più che da potenza, da aprire con attenzione e senza aspettative di freschezza o intensità primaria, ideale per apprezzare le sfumature dell’evoluzione nel tempo, purché la bottiglia sia stata conservata in modo impeccabile.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
