E’ un Pinot Nero di straordinaria eleganza che incarna perfettamente il connubio tra la potenza tipica di questa denominazione e la finezza minerale derivante dalla sua posizione elevata. Prodotto da una parcella situata proprio sopra i Grand Cru, su un terreno calcareo e povero, questo vino beneficia di un approccio biodinamico integrale che esalta la purezza del frutto. L'annata 2011, caratterizzata da una maturazione fresca e bilanciata, si presenta oggi nel calice con un colore rubino dai riflessi granati e un bouquet complesso che spazia dai piccoli frutti rossi, come lampone e marasca, a note più evolute di sottobosco, liquirizia, violetta e una distintiva scia minerale di pietra focaia. Al palato rivela una struttura di medio corpo sorretta da un'acidità ancora vivace e tannini ormai completamente setosi e integrati, frutto di un affinamento di 15-18 mesi in barriques di rovere francese. È un vino che ha raggiunto la sua piena maturità espressiva, offrendo un finale lungo e sapido con richiami di spezie dolci e cuoio. Si abbina magistralmente a piatti raffinati come l'anatra all'arancia, il filetto ai porcini o formaggi a crosta lavata, e va servito idealmente a 16-17°C per apprezzarne ogni sfumatura terziaria.
