L'Harmonium rappresenta l'espressione sublime dell'unione tra la potenza del Nero d'Avola e lo stile distintivo di Firriato. L'obiettivo primario era creare un'autentica "eccellenza tra le eccellenze", capace di incarnare appieno la complessità di un vitigno così versatile. Dopo un'attenta ricerca durata 15 anni e numerose microvinificazioni, Firriato ha individuato nei 165 ettari di Borgo Guarini tre distinti cru: Ferla, Lepre e Beccaccia. Qui sono state piantate viti provenienti da tre diverse selezioni massali di Nero d'Avola. Grazie alla varietà delle condizioni pedoclimatiche, è stato possibile esaltare le caratteristiche organolettiche uniche di ciascun Single Vineyard. Le uve destinate all'Harmonium vengono raccolte in tempi diversi a causa delle loro maturazioni differenziate e vengono vinificate separatamente, prima di essere unite in un blend che ha segnato la storia di questa etichetta distintiva.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
