Come lo sono tutti i vini di questo angolo della Francia. Questa, anzi, ci verrebbe da dire che è l'altra Francia. Quella poco conosciuta, meno nota e forse, anche per questo, ancora autentica. Qui i vini sono frutto esattamente del territorio da cui provengono. L'Esprit de l'Horizon ha molto poco a che fare con le mode. E' un vino schietto e connotato di grande personalità.  Appena 6.000 bottiglie nel mondo.

L'Esprit de l'Horizon Rouge del Domaine de L'Horizon è un rosso rubino di media consistenza e di buona luminosità. Il naso è ampio e complesso con note di frutta matura, fiori macerati e spezie, che si uniscono alle suggestioni di mirto, ginepro, rosmarino e cuoio. In bocca è corposo, succoso e magistralmente bilanciato, di lunga persistenza.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
