80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot. Ottenuto prevalentemente dai vigneti più giovani dell'azienda e prodotto con la stessa passione e attenzione per i dettagli riservata a Ornellaia, Le Serre Nuove dell'Ornellaia è un autentico “secondo vino”. Questo blend unico di Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc e Petit Verdot si offre al palato generoso e intenso, rivelando al contempo una personalità coinvolgente e brillante.  La raccolta è avvenuta a mano in cassette da 15kg e i grappoli sono stati selezionati uno ad uno prima della diraspatura e della pigiatura soffice. La fermentazione alcolica ha avuto luogo in tini di acciao innox a temperature tra 26-30°C. Ogni varietà e ogni parcella è stata vinificata separatamente. La macerazione è continuata per altri 21 giorni circa. La fermentazione malolattica ha avuto luogo nei tini a cui ha fatto seguito il trasferimento in barriques, in parte nuove e in parte di primo passaggio. Il vino è rimasto in barriques nella cantina di Ornellaia per un periodo di 18 mesi. Prima di essere imbottigliato ha fatto seguito una chiarifica con bianco d’uovo. Il vino è poi rimasto per 6 mesi in bottiglia prima di essere presentato sul mercato

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
