Recioto Campociesa is a historic wine of rare elegance, part of the great tradition of appassimento wines from Valpolicella Classica. Made with Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes left to dry naturally in drying rooms during the winter, it represents one of the most authentic expressions of Veronese Recioto from the 1970s.

Deep garnet in color with amber highlights due to long aging, it develops an intense and complex bouquet with notes of cherries in alcohol, dried plums, figs, cocoa, sweet tobacco, spices, and dried fruit. On the palate, it is soft, velvety, and enveloping, with a refined balance of sweetness, structure, and freshness, a distinctive characteristic of the great historic Recioto wines of Valpolicella.

The 1971 vintage belongs to an iconic period of Masi artisanal production, when the term "Recioto" still identified wines made using traditional methods passed down for centuries in the province of Verona. Historic bottles like this one are now considered collector's items, prized both for their historical value and the allure of long maturation.
