Il Romanée-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru 1997 di Domaine de la Romanée-Conti rappresenta un vino rosso di eccellente complessità e struttura, nato da uno dei vigneti Grand Cru più prestigiosi della Borgogna. Al calice si presenta con un colore rubino profondo, mentre al naso offre un bouquet raffinato di frutti rossi maturi, note floreali di viola e delicati sentori speziati e terrosi tipici del Pinot Nero. Al palato si distingue per la sua eleganza, tannini vellutati e un equilibrio armonico tra freschezza e corpo strutturato, con lievi sfumature eteree dovute all'invecchiamento. Questo millesimo del 1997 evidenzia la cura maniacale nella coltivazione biologica e in cantina, con l'attenzione al terroir calcareo-argilloso di Vosne-Romanée, che conferisce al vino un carattere unico e longevo.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
