La storia monastica si interruppe nel 1792 e la proprietà fu acquistata dai conti Corinaldi, che costruirono nuove strutture e avviarono una rinomata produzione di vini. Durante la prima guerra mondiale, il Castello di Lispida fu il quartier generale del re Vittorio Emanuele III. Negli anni ’50 l’azienda riprese l’attività vitivinicola con nuovi vigneti e metodi tradizionali. Nei vigneti, il lavoro tra i filari è carico di esperienze ed emozioni che contribuiscono a creare vini dal sapore unico. Non vengono effettuate lavorazioni del terreno né usati diserbanti chimici o concimi. L’erba viene falciata e lasciata sul posto. Nell’azienda sono stati collocati circa 100 nidi per uccelli, insetti e pipistrelli, che favoriscono la crescita e maturazione delle uve.

I ordered three bottles, a 1999 French, recently opened, made a great impression.
The other two are a Barolo Serralunga d'Alba from Fontanafredda and a Nebbiolo d'Alba Riccheri from Marchesi di Barolo, both from 2015, which I have yet to open but the prospects are excellent.
Shipping and packaging were equally excellent, the Marchesi di Barolo bottle was longer and protruding but I still managed to protect it.
Great prices that you won't find on other similar sites.
I will definitely be back to buy more.
